Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov has stated that Ukraine cannot supply water to the occupied Crimea. He said this in an interview with liga.net.

"My personal opinion: we cannot supply water to the occupied Crimea. Moreover, I think it is impossible from a political point of view. If the Russian Federation returns Crimea, then water will go there immediately. This is a difficult question. And do not think that there is a simple answer", - he said.

As previously reported, head of the Servant of the People faction Davyd Arahamia stated earlier that he would agree to let water into the annexed Crimea in exchange for concessions from Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Donbass issue. Then he said that the Servant of the People faction never raised the issue of restoring water supplies to the Crimea. The statement became resonant, it was commented on in the administrations of Putin and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. Head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak stated that there were no negotiations with Russia on the supply of water to the Crimea.
