Counterintelligence officers of the Security Service of Ukraine have brought one of the former "ministers of coal industry" of the "DNR" terrorist organization to the territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities during a special operation, - the SBU press center reports.
Operatives and investigators of the special services established that the pseudo-official regularly attended meetings of the "DNR government" and took an active part in formation the internal policy of the "relevant ministry". In particular, he regulated the activities of the coal mining enterprises and the distribution of energy resources in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk oblast.
"After removal from the office, the attacker started his own business in the "DNR", he was trying to distance himself from working in the "government" of the pseudo-republic and was thinking about returning to the territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities. He returned to the peaceful regions of Ukraine thanks to a special operation developed by the SBU", - the report said.
Immediately after the withdrawal from the so-called "DNR", he officially issued a statement to the Security Service of Ukraine, in which he announced his participation in the functioning of the "authorities" illegally formed in the occupied territories.
The man provided detailed testimonies about specific facts of the direct involvement of the Russian Federation in the process of occupation of certain areas of the Donetsk region. The "ex-minister" also attested to the involvement of Russian civil servants in the occupied territories of Donetsk oblast as "advisers" in organizing criminal schemes for embezzlement of the budget funds of the Russian Federation allocated for the operation of objects of the coal-industrial complex of the pseudo-republic.
Now, as part of the criminal proceedings begun under Part 1 of Art. 258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the investigative steps are being taken.
A check of the possible involvement of the person involved in the commission of crimes during his stay in the "leading posts of the DNR" is underway.
Judging by the information on the Myrotvorets website, we can talk about the "DNR Minister" Igor Ivakin, who headed the "Ministry of Coal Industry" for a short time, and then worked as deputy director of the IRD private enterprise.
