The "DNR" leader Denis Pushilin once again states that the organization of railway communication between the occupied Donbass and Russia has reached the final stage. He stated this during the so-called "direct line with the residents of Donbass".
At the same time, the head of the occupation administration admitted that the solution to this issue was beyond the control of the Donbass.
"As for the railway connection, the concept is developed, there are technical details, not everything depends on us. The relevant departments – the Ministry of Transport and the railway – work. I really hope that this happens on a short-term horizon".
The leader of the "DNR" recalled that the possibility of launching trains in the Russian Federation before the end of this year was previously discussed.
As previously reported, the Russian Railways state-owned company cannot legally carry out passenger transportation to the occupied Donbass due to possible sanctions.
