President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a law to extend the law on a special procedure for local self-government in certain areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts until the end of 2020. This is evidenced by the status of bill on the website of the Verkhovna Rada.

"Returned with the president's signature", - is said on the website.

The law on a special procedure for local self-government in CADLO was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada in September 2014 for a period of three years. The document provides that a special procedure for local self-government in certain areas of Donbass comes into force only after the withdrawal of all illegal armed formations, their military equipment, as well as militants and mercenaries from the territory of Ukraine.

The Verkhovna Rada extended this law on December 12, 2019.
