Militants fired at an ambulance car of one of the Joint Forces' units near the settlement of Vodiane, as a result of what one Ukrainian soldier was killed and two others were injured. This is reported by the press center of the Joint Forces.

The shelling occurred at about 10.50 during the execution of the tasks of evacuation of a wounded person in the area of Vodiane by military medical officers of the JFO.

"The militants hit the Hummer ambulance car from an anti-tank guided missile. As a result of direct hit by an anti-tank guided missile of the militants, one soldier died on the spot. Two more JFO soldiers were injured", - the report said

It clarifies that one of the wounded - a military medic - is in critical condition.

The command of the Joint Forces stresses that the bombardment of ambulances is a violation of international law and international humanitarian law.

"The treacherous bombardment of the ambulance car by the Russian occupation forces is another indication that the occupiers are not observing any international legal norms. Russian militants basely fire even at ambulances equipped with a special Red Cross label", - the JFO noted.
