Russian presidential aide Vladislav Surkov visited occupied Donetsk, where he listened to "reports" of the self-proclaimed authorities. This was stated by the head of the chairman of the Security Service of Ukraine Aleksander Tkachuk today at the briefing – reports the correspondent of OstroV.

"SSU received credible information that, Russian presidential aide Vladislav Surkov visited occupied Donetsk on February 16th. The Russian side hid the preparations for this visit very carefully. Surkov listened to "reports" of the so-called local administrations of the pseudo republic ( "DPR" - Ed) during his visit. He became acquainted with the features of economic, political and humanitarian situation in Donetsk", - said Tkachuk.

According to him, one of the issues to discuss was the preparation of the "elections".

"Besides, as a result of these meetings Surkov made a number of decisions relating to personnel changes and certain political issues. According to our data, the so-called Minister "of Foreign Affairs of the DPR" Kofman, chief of "the head administration of the "DPR" Leshchenko and acting" chief of Debaltsevo administration" are in the risk group of dismissal. It’s not the first visit of that kind. As far as we know, Surkov was in Luhansk region with a similar mission on January 20th," - he said.

According to Tkachuk, V. Surkov’s visits prove how much the Kremlin controls everything that is happening on the occupied territories of Donbass.
