Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy opened an extraordinary session of the Verkhovna Rada, - correspondent of OstroV reports.

According to the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, 222 people's deputies registered in the hall, however, later Parubiy noted that "registration for an extraordinary meeting is not needed".

The speaker also called the decree of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky about the dissolution of the Verkhovna Rada unlawful.

"The president's decree is not only a failure to respect the Constitution, but bringing the country to a constitutional crisis… But I cannot stop the president's decree", - he said.

"I know that the people's deputies are going to file an appeal to the Constitutional Court, and I support it", - the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada added.
