President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has instructed the SBU to check the expediency of further participation of leader of the pro-Russian organization Ukrainian Choice Viktor Medvedchuk in negotiations in Minsk to free Ukrainian hostages and political prisoners. He stated this on air of radio NV on April 10, - Ukrinform reports.

"I appeal to the SBU to consider the expediency of further use of Mr. Medvedchuk in the format of the humanitarian subgroup of the TCG for the release of hostages, if his functioning is ineffective. Report to me tomorrow", - Poroshenko said.

Earlier, Medvedchuk stated that it was impossible to withdraw him from the negotiation process on Donbass. This was his reaction to the information spread in the media about Medvedchuk's withdrawal from the negotiation process, if Volodymyr Zelensky was elected president.
