Ukrainian presidential candidate Petro Poroshenko has agreed to hold a debate with Volodymyr Zelensky at the stadium, but following all the rules. He stated this in his video message on Twitter.

Earlier, presidential candidate Volodymyr Zelensky agreed to hold a debate exclusively at NSC Olympiyskiy.

"I am glad that you, though somewhat uncertainly, but accepted the invitation to hold a debate", - Petro Poroshenko responded.

"We are quite different. The main difference is that the needles of our geopolitical compasses point in diametrically opposite directions. My country is a strong European Ukraine, which will kneel to anybody under no event", - he stated.

The incumbent president stressed that "the debate is not a show".

"The election campaign is an event that determines the future of a country, a nation for years and decades ahead. This is not a joke. Being a president and supreme commander is not a game, it is not a desire to be liked. Being a president and supreme commander means being responsible for the people, being responsible for the country both inside Ukraine and internationally", - Poroshenko outlined his position.

He reminded Volodymyr Zelensky that "the rules of the debate are stipulated in the Presidential Election Law".

"Read them, please. It can be held on the basis of public television with broadcast on all television channels for tens of millions of people. These are the established rules. If it is the stadium – let it be the stadium. I am looking forward to seeing you", - candidate Poroshenko met the challenge of his rival.
