Large-scale military exercises of Russian troops began in the south of Russia, as well as in the occupied Crimea. This is stated in the press service of the Southern District of the Russian Armed Forces.
It is noted that the combined-arms armies and Black Sea Fleet coastal defense units were simultaneously alarmed in the occupied Crimea, Dagestan, North Ossetia and Rostov oblast.
The maneuvers involved military equipment in the amount of more than 1.2 thousand units, including tanks and fully-tracked self-propelled artillery weapon, which are delivered to training ranges using low bed trucks. Air support is provided by more than 40 aircraft and helicopters.
As part of the check of combat readiness and participation in the bilateral battalion tactical exercises, over six thousand servicemen will practice holding off the enemy's motorized infantry attack during the week.
