Occupation authorities of the "DNR" state that high-ranking OSCE officials, Director of the OSCE Conflict Prevention Center, Ambassador Marcel Peško and deputy head of the SMM Mark Etherington, came to the "republic" on an "official visit". This is stated in the report of the so-called "representative office of the "DNR" in the JCCC".
The report notes that the operational group of the "representative office" was fired at from grenade launcher when it left to meet the guests from the OSCE in the Donetsk filter station area.
"At the moment, the JCCC officers met representatives of the OSCE and left the scene of the incident", - the message said.
Separatists report that Mark Etherington and Marcel Peško are going to visit the suburbs of Kamianka and Yasynuvata on February 22.
The OSCE SMM confirmed to OstroV the fact of the visit of Mr. Marcel Peško and Mr. Mark Etherington to Donbass. At the same time, the territories visited were designated as "east of Ukraine". "We confirm that Mark Etherington, Deputy Head of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission, along with Ambassador Marcel Peško, Director of the OSCE Conflict Prevention Center, is in eastern Ukraine, where they assess the security situation, environment where the SMM is working, and meet with various interested parties", - statement of the head of the press service of the Mission Dragana Nikolic-Solomon said.
As previously reported, the "DNR" occupation authorities had stated that Special Representative of the OSCE in the Tripartite Contact Group Martin Sajdik visited occupied Donetsk on February 15-16. There were no official reports on this. The press service of the OSCE SMM declined to comment to OstroV on the message of the "DNR" authorities, having recommended that the request be sent to the OSCE Communication and Media Relations Office, located in Vienna (Austria). At the moment, there has been no response to the OstroV's request for information about Martin Saidik's visit to occupied Donetsk.
