Dobropillia mayor Andrey Aksyonov was sent on house arrest. This decision was made by the Kramatorsk City Court on January 29, - Orbita TV company reports.

The court session began with a fight and use of tear gas: both supporters and opponents of Andrey Aksyonov had arrived in Kramatorsk.

The mayor himself, suspected of falsifying documents and seizing budget funds, appeared in the courtroom for the first time. Prior to that, he was in Germany under treatment in connection with cancer (previously, the defense provided the court with supporting documents).

The prosecutor requested a preventive measure in the form of a round-the-clock house arrest for Aksyonov. However, the court granted the petition partially, having elected a night house arrest – from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. – for a period of two months.

Earlier it was reported that mayor of Dobropillia Andrey Aksyonov was included in the search base of the MIA of Ukraine as a person hiding from the prosecution authorities.
