The Trilateral Contact Group has agreed on a ceasefire in the combat zone in Donbass from December 29. This was stated by representative of Ukraine in the TCG Yevhen Marchuk on the air of Priamyi TV channel after a meeting of the security subgroup, which was held on Thursday via videoconferencing, - Livyi Bereh reports.
"The proposal of Ukraine to introduce the ceasefire, which had been introduced at the last meeting (in Minsk), was discussed at today's meeting via videoconferencing. We proposed to introduce this ceasefire starting from tomorrow night - from 00:01 on December 29", - he stated.
"We managed to reach such an agreement, and today, we confirmed that Ukraine provides a full-fledged ceasefire tomorrow from zero hours", - he stressed.
Marchuk hopes that this truce will be used to restore infrastructure facilities.
