Three servicemen were killed and nine others were wounded as a result of drills at the Rivne training range in the morning of July 6, - press service of the Command of the Ground Forces of the AF of Ukraine reports.
"At 05.55 today on July 6, during the brigade tactical exercises with live firing, an incident occurred at the Rivne combined-arms range. According to preliminary data, as a result of the mortar blast, three servicemen were killed because of the injuries received, another nine sustained injuries of varying severity", - the report said.
The Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has decided to suspend the drills. An internal investigation has started, the causes of the tragedy are being clarified.
