The Verkhovna Rada has not started considering the issue of updating the composition of the Central Elections Commission, - correspondent of OstroVreports.

Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy took a preferential voting which showed that only 189 people's deputies were ready to vote for the renewal of the CEC.

"We cannot begin considering this issue now", - Parubiy stated.

The fact that President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko submitted to the Rada 14 candidates for 13 vacant positions of all parliamentary factions, except for the Opposition Bloc was the "stumbling point".

In particular, the People's Front, Batkivshchyna, Radical Party and Opposition Bloc opposed the consideration of issue of the CEC renewal.

"14 candidates for 13 positions plus the committee's decision that everyone is matching. Tell me, who is superfluous? We cannot start this gamble today… We need to have a clear representation of all factions and groups", - head of the PF faction Maksym Burbak stated.

At the same time, the PPB faction insisted on considering this issue.
