German Deutsche Welle has apologized for using the term "civil war" for the armed conflict in Donbass. This was reported by speaker of the Ukrainian MFA Mariana Betsa on Twitter.
"@dwnews apologized and corrected the article about situation in the Donbass, a small but important victory", - Betsa noted.
As previously reported, a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs voiced its protested to the German Deutsche Welle because of the use of the term "civil war" to refer to the armed conflict in Donbass. In particular, the broadcaster used this phrase twice - in the article "Ukraine and Russia interests ‘far apart’ as peace talks resume in Berlin" on the website, as well as in Twitter-message, which states that the representatives of Russia and Ukraine meet for the first time in more than a year for "resetting efforts to resolve the civil war in the east of Ukraine".
