The leader of the "DNR", Alexander Zakharchenko, dismissed the "deputy prime minister of the republic" Alexander Timofeyev ("Tashkent") from the leadership of the so-called public organization Oplot Donbassa. This is stated on the organization's website.

It is noted that Oplot’s members (militant veterans) were urgently gathered for an extraordinary conference, where the leader of the "DNR" himself was "elected" to be Oplot’s new chairman. Timofeyev was elected to this post on April 26, 2018.

The members predictably voted unanimously for such an appointment. The displaced Timofeyev is now the "deputy chairman".

Thus, the leader of the "DNR" Zakharchenko added one more "high post" to his portfolio. Earlier, he, also unanimously, had been elected as a "chairman" of the ruling Donetsk Republic party in the occupied part of the Donetsk oblast.
