Russian landing ships and military transport aircraft were involved in the shifting of occupation forces to the Crimea. This is reported by the intelligence press service with reference to representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence Vadym Skybytsky.
According to him, Ukraine's military intelligence confirmed the use of Russian military transport aircraft for the transfer of airborne troops of the Russian Armed Forces to Anapa airport in February 2014. In particular, the personnel of the 76th Air Assault Division of the Airborne Forces of the Russian Federation was redeployed by air.
The Russian occupation forces were shifted directly to the territory of the Crimea using large landing ships. Military intelligence of Ukraine made clear that, for example, the Azov landing ship transported divisions of the 31 Separate Air Assault Brigade of the Airborne Forces of the Russian Federation.
"Evidence collected by the military intelligence of Ukraine on the participation of regular Russian military personnel in combat operations in the territory of Ukraine is being handed over to international courts", - the intelligence noted.
