The indictment against the so-called "Minister of incomes and fees" of the "DNR" Alexander Timofeev (call sign Tashkent) was sent to court, - the press service of the Prosecutor's Office of the Donetsk oblast reports.

A special pre-trial investigation was completed under Part 3 of Art. 27 (financing of actions aimed at violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or seizure of state power, changes in the borders of the territory or state border of Ukraine), Part 1 of Art. 258-3 (financing of terrorism and participation in a terrorist group or terrorist organization) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine with regard to the so-called "Minister of incomes and fees" of the terrorist organization “DNR”.

The investigation established that in September 2014, a 46-year-old resident of Donetsk, who had previously resigned from the State Customs Service in the Donetsk oblast of Ukraine, joined the terrorist organization for personal ideological and mercenary reasons, where he was appointed to "the post of a minister".

"Heading "the Ministry of the DNR", the defendant contributes to the introduction of compulsory taxes and fees for all legal entities, individual entrepreneurs and individuals who operate in the temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk oblast. These funds are subsequently sent to the "local budgets" and the "republican budget" of the "DNR", from which the so-called "budget institutions of the DNR" are financed".

During the activity of this "ministry" under the leadership of the defendant, the “DNR” was financially supported by collecting $535.8 million of the so-called "taxes", "fees", "customs and other mandatory payments" and a "single fee".

"Since the accomplice of the terrorists is on temporarily controlled territory and continues to work for the occupation power, he will be tried in absentia", - the report said.
