U.S. President Donald Trump has called on Russia to prepare for missile strikes in Syria. He wrote about this on Twitter.
"Russia vows to shoot down any and all missiles fired at Syria. Get ready Russia, because they will be coming, nice and new and "smart!" You shouldn't be partners with a Gas Killing Animal who kills his people and enjoys it!", - Trump wrote.
Earlier, the Russian ambassador to Lebanon stated that each U.S. missile fired on Syria would be shot down, as well as devices from which these missiles were fired.
"If the Americans strike… their rockets will be shot down, as well as sources from which these missiles will be fired", - the Russian diplomat stated.
As previously reported, about 500 people suffered from a chemical attack in Syria. According to the testimony of the Syrian Support Group, on Saturday, the alleged chemical attack on the city of Douma killed at least 60 people and injured more than a thousand. Doctors and witnesses noted that the victims had symptoms of poisoning, perhaps by a nerve agent, and reported a smell of chlorine gas.
