Ukrainian enterprises bought almost 5 million tons of coal from the ATO area in 2015. The Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine said this to OstroV in response to the corresponding question.
"Power stations received 4827 thousand tons of coal from the ATO area in 2015" – said the Ministry.
The Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry also noted that the energy enterprises bought coal exclusively in companies registered on the territory of Ukraine.
"In accordance with the decree No. 841 of the Ministry of Energy of 25.11.2014 and the decision of National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine of 04.11.2014 "On urgent measures to stabilize the social and economic situation in Donetsk and Luhansk regions" enacted by Presidential Decree No. 875 / 2014 of 11.18.2014, energy enterprises purchase coal exclusively in companies registered on the territory of Ukraine", - said the statement.
As previously reported, the leader of the "DPR" Alexander Zakharchenko repeatedly stated that Ukraine bought coal in the "republic" and all of the received money went to its budget.
