A team of experts from the International Monetary Fund has started its work in Kyiv. This was reported to UNIAN by the IMF representative office in Ukraine.

"The representative office of the IMF in Ukraine confirmed the beginning of work of the team consisting of several International Monetary Fund experts", - the report said.

Earlier, IMF Resident Representative in Ukraine Goesta Ljungman had said that a team of several IMF experts would be visiting Kyiv from February 12 to February 16 to conduct technical discussions with representatives of the Ukrainian authorities.

Ukraine continues its cooperation with the IMF as part of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF). The fund's program foresees the allocation of about $17.5 billion within four years. The Ukrainian side has already received four tranches for a total of $8.7 billion. It is expected that in 2018, Ukraine can get another $3.5 billion. The program expires in March 2019.
