The leader of the so-called "DPR" Alexander Zakharchenko does not intend to hold elections in accordance with the Ukrainian laws and democratic standards. He told this at the press conference in Donetsk.

At the same time, he is confident that a serious violation of the Minsk agreements regarding the local elections is the strict adherence to these agreements.

"Donetsk People's Republic (unrecognized – OstroV) fulfills all points of the Minsk agreements (has fulfilled none - OstroV) and if we have made a decision that the local elections should be held this year, then they will take place," - said the militant.

"Whether Ukraine wants or not, we fulfill the Minsk agreements and in accordance with these agreements we must hold elections. But we will conduct them in accordance with the laws of the Republic and on our territory," - said Zakharchenko, without specifying that it was decided in Minsk to hold local elections only according to Ukrainian laws and under the supervision of the OSCE.

"No matter what Ukraine does, no representatives of various Ukrainian parties, who called and urged to fight against Donbass, will take part in the elections", - announced the leader of the "DPR" another violation of the Minsk agreements.

As previously reported, the set of measures to fulfill the Minsk agreements provides local elections according to the laws of Ukraine and with the participation of Ukrainian parties. Such terroristic groups as the "DPR" are not mentioned in the Minsk agreements and cannot be the subject or object of the elections.
