The "DNR" militants have demanded from Vodafone to pay for the electricity they consumed and send experts for technique maintenance of equipment. This is stated in the "official" address of the self-proclaimed "Minister of Communications of the DNR" Yatsenko to the Ukrainian operator.

Furthermore, the "minister" asks Vodafone to provide technical assistance in restoring communications on the territory of occupied Donbass.

"Considering the fact that Vodafone has closed the access of the remaining technical staff of former MTS-Ukraine to its equipment, and also because these remaining experts are not able to solve complex switching tasks, we ask Vodafone to send staff to audit technical condition and launch of the network in the territory of the DNR", - the representative of the occupation administration asks.

Moreover, Yatsenko insists that the Ukrainian company pay for the electricity it consumes in the territory CDDO.

"We draw attention to the need for representatives of the Ukrainian operator to work out a number of administrative issues with the business entities of the Republic, in particular, the issue of paying for electricity. The Ministry of Communications cannot pay public utilities for the operation of Vodafone switching systems from the budget of the Donetsk People's Republic", - the fake minister noted.

As previously reported, on January 11, Vodafone (MTS) mobile communication was disconnected throughout the occupied territory of Donbass. On January 19, Vodafone company announced the completion of work on the restoration of mobile communications. Communication started working in the occupied territory of Luhansk region, but not in the "DNR". As noted in the company, "the network does not work for reasons unknown to us… There is a possibility that the equipment is out of order or there is no electricity supply".
