The Security Service of Ukraine detained Stanislav Yezhov, an employee of the Cabinet of Ministers who is an assistant to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman. This was stated in the comment to 112 Ukraine by the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Vadym Denysenko.

"Information that this person could have been engaged in illegal activities, was known for a long time, and his work recently was “watched”, - he said.

Denysenko confirmed that the detainee was Stanislav Yezhov.

According to Bukvy publication, Yezhov accompanied Groysman in all international meetings and in all trips. It is also reported that earlier Yezhov worked in Ukrainian embassy in the U.S., and in the Presidential office.

Earlier it was reported that counter-intelligence officers of the SBU uncovered an official of the Secretariat of the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers who was working in the interests of the intelligence of the aggressor country. The official was recruited by the Russian intelligence during his long business trip abroad. The operatives of the SBU documented that the official used special equipment to collect information about the activity of the governmental bodies as a task of Russian handlers. In the framework of criminal proceedings, opened under Part 1 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the priority procedural actions are being held, in particular, searches at the place of work and residence of the official. The detainee was informed of suspicion of committing a crime.
