Chairman of the Donetsk civil-military administration Pavlo Zhebrivskyi has disclosed the budget targets of the "LNR/DNR", indicating that the lion's share of the "republics" funds is grants. He told about this in an interview with the Ukrainian Week.
"I will give you some exclusive figures. Here are the budget targets of the self-proclaimed republics: 2015: the revenue side in the "DNR" is $234.2 million and the expenditure - $755.2 million, in the "LNR" - $6.8 million and $475.2 relatively; 2016: the revenue side in the "DNR" is $497.2 million and the expenditure - $1 billion, in the "LNR" - $110.3 million and $644.9 million relatively", - he reported.
Also, according to him, according to the estimates for 2017, the revenue side in the "DNR" should be $593.9 million and the expenditure - $1.15 billion, $134 million and $712.7 million - in the "LNR".
"So, as of today, the "DNR" is subsidized by 65%, and "LNR" - by 85%", — he said.
According to Zhebrivskyi, some enterprises in CDDLO are still subject to recovery. In particular, it is quite possible to launch Donetsksteel. Makiivka and Yenakiieve Iron and Steel Works operate now at about a quarter of capacity, the Zasyadko Mine - approximately at 30% and the Komsomolets Donbasu - at 60%. Most mines in Horlivka are flooded with water.
