Eighteen mines have already been flooded in the temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk oblast. This was stated at a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday by the Deputy Minister for Temporary Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine Heorhiy Tuka, - Interfax-Ukraine reports.
"In the Donetsk region, 18 mines have been flooded, 12 more are being flooded. All of them were engaged in coal mining of the anthracite group, that is, it is impossible to restore their work, since there will be more investment than benefit from these mines", - Tuka noted.
He also called not to speculate on the issue of separation of the Donbass because of the high costs of its reintegration.
