The OSCE recorded an increase in the number of ceasefire violations. Principal Deputy Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine Alexander Hug stated this during a briefing in Kyiv, OstroV’s correspondent reports.

”The OSCE SMM observed a 25% rise in the number of ceasefire breaches; the truce was breached 2469 times throughout the contact line. The observation shows two things: the ceasefire regime is being violated, and an escalation can occur at any moment. At least 2469 times mortars, artillery, rifles and large-caliber mortars were used. Only for 1 week the parties violated the Minsk agreement 2469 times, 2469 times the parties violated their promise to cease fire, 2469 times the life and health of men, women and children in the east of Ukraine were endangered”, - Hug noted.

Residential areas or their vicinity were hit in most cases, Hug said.

"We confirmed that one person was injured in the Trudovskiy microdistrict of the Petrovskiy district of Donetsk", - he added.
