Since the beginning of the year, 65 civilians have died in the ATO zone. This was reported by the first deputy head of the OSCE's SMM in Ukraine Alexander Hug today at a briefing in Kyiv, - OstroV’s correspondent reports.

"From January 1 to August 13, 2017, the OSCE SMM confirmed 350 civilian casualties, 65 of which were dead and 285 were wounded", - he said.

"Evidence of the parties' failure to fulfill their mine clearance obligations is that the cause of many civilian casualties was mine explosions and unexploded ordnance. From January 1 to August 13, 2017, we recorded 93 such cases, 28 of such victims died and 65 were wounded", - Hug added.
