Ukraine will consider the possibility of opening checkpoints for vehicles in Luhansk region. This was announced by the special representative of the OSCE Chairman in Tripartite Contact Group Martin Sajdik – reports BELTA.

"The Ukrainian side said it would consider the opening of checkpoints for civilian traffic and humanitarian goods of Luhansk. It is, from my point of view, the positive development of the negotiations", - said Martin Sajdik.

At the moment, there is only crosswalk on the demarcation in Luhansk region.

According Sajdik, humanitarian subgroup discussed the possibility of improving conditions for civilians at checkpoints on the contact line due to the cold weather on January 13th. The working group on Political Affairs continued its consideration of the issues of amnesty and elections.
