The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine conducts searches in the main office of PrivatBank. This is stated in the message of the press service of NABU.
"Detectives of NABU under the procedural leadership of Specialized anti-corruption prosecutor's office carry out investigative actions in the main office of PJSC Privatbank (Dnipro city)", - the message reads.
These actions are carried out within the framework of the criminal investigation on the facts of possible abuse of office by officials of the National Bank of Ukraine, as well as embezzlement of PrivatBank's funds in especially large amounts, committed by management and owners of the specified banking institution.
In NABU they say that due to these criminal actions the state incurred losses in the amount of $4.5 billion.
PrivatBank specifies that searches are carried out within the limits of investigation of illegal granting of doubtful credits by its former owners.
