As of 6 a.m. Monday, 1894 Ukrainians enjoyed the benefits of visa-free regime with the EU, - spokesperson of State Border Service of Ukraine Oleh Slobodyan informed this on Facebook on June 12.
"78% of them used car checkpoints for travel, 22% used air services. The majority (63%) left for the EU through the Ukrainian-Polish sector", - he wrote.
He noted that of the total number of those wishing to travel to Europe on a visa-free basis, two Ukrainians were refused.
"In both cases - for the previous "sins" relating the migration legislation in the territory of the EU countries", - Slobodyan said.
Since midnight June 11, Ukrainian citizens who own biometric IDs can travel to EU member countries without visas.
