One Ukrainian soldier has been killed, seven injured as a result of enemy shelling of the positions of the ATO forces in Luhansk area, the ATO headquarters has reported.
"In the Luhansk sector, the number of shelling of ATO forces has significantly grown. Starting at 6:00 a.m., Russian-occupation troops, violating the Minsk accords, are firing on ATO forces, including 152 mm heavy artillery, 120 and 82 mm mortars", - the press centre of the ATO headquarters said.
At the same time, it is reported that the Ukrainian military in Krymske region do not react to provocations, do not open fire in response, continue holding positions along the line of demarcation and are ready for rapid changes in the situation.
The headquarters emphasize that the intensity of shelling is enhanced by automatic grenade launchers AGS-17 and the grenade launchers SPG-9 (more than 120 grenades), anti-tank guided missile systems, large-caliber machine guns and small arms.
"The enemy actively uses unmanned aerial vehicles to correct artillery fire, one of which was shot down by the Ukrainian military today", - the headquarters said.
According to the acting head of Novotoshkivske civil and military administration Dmytro Kondratiev, water pipe was hit as a result of shelling in the settlement, civilian houses are damaged with splinters, evacuation of children is being considered currently.
"According to available information, the enemy actively accumulates reserves and conducts other activities that can be regarded as preparation for the offensive of terrorist forces, and the activity of enemy sabotage and intelligence groups has increased. According to eyewitnesses, the militants intentionally undermine the private apartments of local residents in order to later accuse ATO forces in violation of the agreements reached in Minsk. In addition, according to available information, propaganda channels record such destruction for the sake of creating fake news", - the headquarters reported.
