The USA is ready to join the process of settlement of situation in the Donbass and exert pressure on the Russian Federation. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin in an interview with TSN.Tyzhden, - UNIAN reports.
Speaking about the results of the meeting with the President of the USA Donald Trump, Klimkin stated: "One of the main political signals is a real desire to join putting pressure on Russia".
"There are very interesting ideas, but I can talk about them later when we agree on this with all our partners. Any points will then have to be agreed with Germany and the newly elected president of France", - Klimkin noted.
"I think no one in Moscow expected this signal, and this is its additional value. Secondly, this signal has its own meaning about the systemic attempts of the Russian Federation to influence the democratic system of the world", - Klimkin noted. "Everybody understands full well that this is not just a threat, but a threat that must be systematically counteracted. And Washington unequivocally has this", - he added.
