Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said that the initiative of the trade blockade of Donbas had been organized in the interests of the Russian Federation. He said this at a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday, OstroV’s correspondent reports.
"The blockade, which was to ban Ukraine's access to its own resources was in the interests of the Russian Federation. I think this is another qualitative special operation of the enemy on our territory", - he said
"For which economy did the enterprises that paid taxes to Ukraine work? They worked for Russia. And who took the Ukrainian minerals? Russians took it to their state's assets, where dozens, hundreds of billions today were diverted to the Russian economy", - Groysman added.
As previously reported, on January 26, the blockade of railroads to stop the "trade on blood with the occupiers" began. It was initiated by ATO veterans and a number of people's deputies. On February 27, the leaders of the so-called "DPR" and "LPR" Alexander Zakharchenko and Igor Plotnitsky made a joint statement demanding Kyiv to remove the transport blockade of the Donbass until March 1. On March 1, they stated that they introduce their own "external management" at a number of Ukrainian enterprises in the occupied territory.
