Ukraine expects to receive 3 more tranches in the amount of about $4.5 billion from the IMF until the end of 2017. This was reported by the head of the National Bank of Ukraine Valeriya Gontaryeva today at a press conference in Kyiv, - the correspondent of OstroV reports.
"We expect that we will receive 3 more tranches for a total amount of about $4.5 billion by the end of 2017, which will allow us to increase reserves to $21 billion by the end of this year. The continuation of such cooperation is of strategic importance because this program is important for our country to ensure macrofinancial stability", - she reported.
"When someone tells us that we do not need to work with the IMF, I want everyone to understand that Ukraine will have to pay about $12.8 billion in the next years at the expense of repayment and servicing of the government debt. Under such conditions, the continuation of cooperation with the IMF is guarantee that Ukraine will be able to make payments on the government debt in the next 3 years without unnecessary stress for the currency market and financial stability in the country", - V.Gontaryeva explained.
