Judge of Solomianskyi district court of Kyiv Oleksandr Bobrovnik has partially granted the motion of the prosecution and arrested head of the State Fiscal Service Roman Nasirov for 60 days, until April 30, 2017, with a $3.7 million bail option, as reported by UNIAN.

In case the bail is posted, Nasirov would be obliged to wear an electronic control bracelet, seize his national and international passports, and have no communication with other involvants in the criminal case.

The ruling also stipulates that Nasirov is to be kept in detention until the bail is posted, if any.

The court's ruling might be appealed in the Kyiv Court of Appeal within five days.

As reported earlier, the prosecutor's office demanded a higher bail for Nasirov. Thus, the court reduced the amount of bail by 20 times.

On March 2, NABU and SAP agents arrived at Feofania hospital to serve Nasirov an indictment for criminal offence under part 2 of Art. 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (abuse of official position, which entailed grave consequences). On March 3, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine suspended Nasirov from office pending investigation.
