The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the law "On amendments to some laws of Ukraine concerning the strengthening of guarantees of the rights and freedoms of internally displaced persons" with the president's proposals. This was reported on the VR website.
The legislative act provides increased guarantees of the rights and freedoms of internally displaced persons, simplifies record procedures for such persons.
The law reflects a proposal of the President to determine the authority (officials) entrusted to identify facts of absence of internally displaced persons in the places of their residence and confirminformation about their movement in Ukraine, as well as a mechanism to verify this information and facts of a prolonged absence of internally displaced persons in the place of residence.
This law regulates the activities permanent validity of the certificate of internally displaced persons (IDPs). According to the document, there is no need to put a stamp of the migration service on the IDP certificate.
