The Government of Ukraine introduces emergency measures in the energy sector. Corresponding decision was made at an extraordinary Cabinet meeting today, - the correspondent of OstroV reports.
"We are gathered today to make a decision about the implementation of emergency measures in the energy system of our country. This coal deficit is created artificially, and the whole Ukraine knows the list of names who did it", - the Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said.
The Prime Minister noted that power outages would be introduced only as a last resort.
In his turn, the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Ihor Nasalik admitted that rolling blackouts may occur.
"Provision is made for the point which is used when we will use rolling blackouts in order to balance production and consumption of electric energy in the case of the urgent problem and disproportion between consumption and generation of electricity", - he said.
