The territory of Donetsk oblast became at risk of pollution by the waste of phenolic plant, storage of which is in close vicinity to the line of demarcation in Novgorodske settlement controlled by the Ukrainian authorities. This was stated at press conference by the First Deputy Chairman of the OSCE SMM to Ukraine Alexander Hug, - the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine reports on Twitter.
"The storage of chemical waste of the phenol plant in the government-controlled Novgorodske is sandwiched between the positions of the parties in only 400 meters away from each other", - A.Hug stated.
So, according to him, ceasefire and forces withdrawal are imperative to this region, other way "if worst comes to worst, the whole Donetsk oblast may be polluted".
