Former Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott urges Russia to acknowledge their involvement in the attack on the flight MH17 on the background of new evidence. It is reported by the Australian media, - informs Ukrinform.
"In my opinion, the sooner Russia admits its participation in this and offers compensation to the victims' families, the better it is," - says Abbott.
It is reported that former Prime Minister does not blame the President of Russia Vladimir Putin personally for the disaster, but he said that the leader had a big responsibility.
Australian media also wrote that the allegations of the Russian military, which refer to the radar data, the missile that hit the Malaysia Airlines plane had been launched from the territory beyond the control of the pro-Russian forces.
Tony Abbott, who was Prime Minister at that time, rejected such a possibility.
According to him, the Russians are willing to say anything, but the evidence suggests that the Russian missile complex crossed the border, entered Ukraine, shot down the plane and returned to Russia.
