“Refugees from the Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts who are being evicted from the temporary accommodation center in Kursk will be able to independently choose a new place of residence", - Kursk media write.

Earlier, two hundred displaced persons from the occupied Donbas were informed that the temporary accommodation center in the “Centralnaya” hotel is closing due to the fact that the building, which has not been renovated for 70 years, has developed a leaking roof.

Local authorities decided to relocate the refugees to another temporary accommodation center outside Kursk, in the village of Shuklinka. People protested that they would not be able to go to work, take their children to schools, and visit doctors.
As a result, those evacuated from the Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts were allowed to remain in Kursk and choose temporary accommodation centers with available places on their own.
