“We are aware of the difficulties that arise in certain cases when Ukrainians leave temporarily occupied territories through a third country to Ukraine. To resolve these problems, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has developed a draft relevant resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers. The proposed changes will simplify the procedure for establishing identity and issuing a return certificate”, - said the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Heorhii Tykhyi, during a conversation with journalists on March 18.

He noted that the draft resolution had undergone coordination with other institutions. “We actively promoted it. This week we managed to go through this entire process, and now we are ready to submit this draft for consideration by the government in the near future”, - Tykhyi indicated.

According to him, the proposed changes will simplify the procedure for establishing identity and issuing a return certificate.

“Of course, while maintaining all necessary security measures, because everyone understands that there are certain security issues here. First of all, I remind you that we are talking about citizens born after August 24, 1991, in temporarily occupied territory, who do not have valid Ukrainian documents and information about whom is absent from the databases of the Unified State Demographic Register”, - Tykhyi noted.
