“Naftogaz has definitively won in the Supreme Court of Switzerland the case against russian Gazprom for more than $1.4 billion. The court completely rejected Gazprom’s attempt to cancel the arbitration decision of June 16, 2025. It obliges the russian company to pay Naftogaz the debt for services related to organizing the transportation of natural gas plus interest. It also obliged Gazprom to reimburse legal costs”, - the Telegram channel “NaftogazUA” reported on March 13, citing the chairman of the board of Naftogaz of Ukraine Serhii Koretskyi.
“Thus, the highest judicial authority of Switzerland confirmed the validity of the arbitration decision and finally rejected the arguments of the russian side. Naftogaz will continue to work on the enforcement of this decision and is continuing a number of other proceedings against the aggressor country”, - Koretskyi noted.
He emphasized that the court’s decision is final and that Naftogaz is working on its enforcement.
