“On the night of March 11, russian troops carried out an airstrike on the very heart of Kramatorsk. Powerful explosions thundered in the central part of the city, where administrative institutions, cultural institutions, and commercial facilities are located next to residential buildings. The enemy struck where peaceful city life had always been bustling”, - the Kramatorsk City Council reported.
According to preliminary information, russians used four 250-kilogram high-explosive aerial bombs.
One of the munitions hit a residential building directly.
“As a result of the strike, nearly five dozen facilities in the central part of the city were damaged. Residential buildings of Kramatorsk residents, administrative buildings, educational institutions, and commercial establishments were affected. Among the facilities that sustained serious damage is the Culture and Arts Centre, a local architectural monument and one of the recognizable architectural landmarks of Kramatorsk. Fortunately, according to available information, only one person sought medical assistance”, - the statement said.
The elimination of the consequences of the enemy strike is currently ongoing in the city.
“Municipal services are working at the sites of the damage and ensuring passage on public roads, clearing sidewalks, etc.”, - the city council noted.
