In the Donetsk oblast in the Lyman direction, due to the lack of food and communication, the occupiers are ready to surrender to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the 66th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Mstyslav the Brave of the Ground Forces of the AFU.
The defenders noted that another attempt by the occupiers to surrender was discovered during reconnaissance by operators of the motorized infantry battalion “Steel Riders”.
“In their message the russians literally beg to be taken prisoner”, - the description to the photo of the note says, in which the occupiers complain about hunger.
“We are ready to surrender. No strength, haven’t eaten for 3 weeks. Need food and communication”, - the russian occupiers wrote.
The 66th Separate Mechanized Brigade noted that supply problems for the enemy are not new at all. According to the defenders, during 2025, due to the practically nonexistent evacuation of the wounded, the mortality rate from received injuries among russian soldiers amounted to more than 55%. This winter this figure has already exceeded 65%.
