“During a conversation with the Federal Chancellor of Austria, Christian Stocker, we discussed the energy situation in Ukraine. Russia carries out daily strikes on the energy sector in order to leave Ukrainians without electricity and heat, and it is very important that partners respond to this. Therefore, we highly appreciate that last week Austria allocated funds to support our energy sector. Thank you! We also discussed other ways to support our energy system”, - President Zelensky reported on social media on January 27.
“I also informed him about the trilateral meetings of the Ukrainian, American, and russian delegations in the UAE last week. First and foremost, the parties discussed military issues, but they also talked about security guarantees. Ukraine’s accession to the European Union is one of the key security guarantees not only for us, but for all of Europe. Since Europe’s overall strength is possible, in particular, thanks to the Ukrainian contribution in the fields of security, technology, and the economy. That is why we are talking about a specific date — 2027 — and we are counting on support for our position from our partners”. - Zelensky also noted.
He also invited Chancellor Stocker to visit Ukraine in order to continue the dialogue during an in-person meeting.
