“Ukraine expects that after the World Economic Summit in Davos it will be able to sign a framework document on security guarantees with the United States”, - RBC-Ukraine reported on January 18, citing the Financial Times.
As the publication writes, Ukraine’s ambassador to the United States Olha Stefanishyna announced that as early as this week Kyiv and Washington intend to sign a key document on the economic prosperity of our country. The signing will take place in Davos (this refers to the agreement on the reconstruction of Ukraine worth $800 billion).
At the same time, FT notes that agreeing on security guarantees has turned out to be a more complex process, but Kyiv expects this agreement to be signed as well after Davos.
“Concluding a separate agreement on security guarantees proved to be a more complex task, but two Ukrainian sources said they hope to agree on general ‘terms’ that will be signed in Washington shortly after Davos”, - the publication wrote.
