“Restoration of the housing stock and construction of compensation apartment buildings in the reunited regions is an important social issue. We have been dealing with it since 2022”, - he assured.

Meanwhile, in occupied Mariupol, even according to “official” data, about 6,100 thousand families who lost a roof over their heads in 2022 are in line for compensation housing.

Six months earlier, the “mayor” of the seaside city, Anton Koltsov, said that the queue of homeless residents of Mariupol numbered 4.5 thousand people.

As reported earlier, the russian authorities stopped the construction of so-called compensation houses, focusing on providing those in need with housing from the so-called “municipal fund”. This fund is formed from apartments confiscated from lawful owners and declared “ownerless”.
