“The Ministry of Defense neutralized several enemy unmanned aerial vehicles. As debris fell, a fire broke out at one of the military units”, - the press service of the region’s governor Sergey Sitnikov said in a statement.
The statement clarifies that this concerns the city of Neya, and that in addition to the military unit, nearby residential buildings were damaged. “For residents of the southern part… for the duration of the work of emergency services, a temporary accommodation center has been organized… for up to 1,200 people”, - it says.
Local residents write that this concerns military unit 55486, which is the 100th GRAU arsenal — a large military storage facility for artillery shells, missiles, and mines.
